The COUTO Open Call is delivered in partnership with the Art Embassy Network (ArtEN), inviting designers, artists and makers to work with washi paper from Echizen, Japan.

This Open Call is an invitation to create new work using washi, part of Couto's collection.

​

This call is open to designers, artists and makers curious about working with a traditional material. We welcome proposals in drawing, print, or light mark-making suited to a translucent, light-sensitive surface. Selected participants will receive material and support in working with washi. All proposals are reviewed by COUTO and ArtEN.
